Location: 414 East 12th Street

Salary: $22.52 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. With some possible weekend work 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. With possible work outside of normal hours *Episodic telework, One day weekly, at the director's discretion, upon successful completion of six-month probationary period. *

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

Support property sales and transfers by working with community groups and boards to move Land Bank properties into productive use that strengthens neighborhoods.
Inspect and evaluate Land Bank properties to determine compliance, condition, and viability for sale or transfer, ensuring agreements are met and risks are reduced.
Engage the public by responding to questions about property availability, sales processes, and status, helping residents and partners navigate the system with clarity.
Prepare reports and recommendations that inform board decisions, City Council materials, and program leadership on property actions and program performance.
Collaborate across teams and agencies by representing the division in meetings, committees, and community groups to advance housing and neighborhood initiatives.
Support program operations by assisting with budget requests, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to policy and program improvements.

Experience inspecting properties, managing records, or supporting housing, land use, or community development programs.

Practical judgment when evaluating property conditions and program requirements.

Skills and capabilities matter most. Direct experience with land bank, housing, or neighborhood programs is helpful but not required if you bring transferable skills.

Qualifications

REQUIRES

An accredited Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field and 3 (OR an accredited Master’s degree in one of the listed fields and 1) year of related professional experience in housing and community development, neighborhood preservation or neighborhood services; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
