Program Coordinator-Healthy Families Wyandotte
The position will be completing assessments in the home with new families, collaborating with the community, and engaging enrolled families in the Healthy Families Wyandotte program.
Complete the validated Family Resilience and Opportunities for Growth (FROG) Scale in the home with interested families and identify family strengths and areas to address at the start of services.
Contact and meet with new families to explain voluntary Healthy Families program
Maintain regular long-term contact and support families.
Market Healthy Families Wyandotte program on Facebook, create flyers or other items to advertise the program, and update Facebook with program updates.
Collaborate with community partners regarding client needs.
Participate in community events to promote the program and connect with families who are interested in services.
Meet with the supervisor and provide the family with a warm hand-off to the Family Support Specialists.
Help plan and participate in monthly Family Time events.
Develop and manage an Individualized Family Service Plan, coordinating with the client.
Provide clients with baby items from the program (pack n plays, highchair, etc.)
Perform general responsibilities as part of the job requirements listed above:
Maintain an understanding of the various processes and procedures of the positionUtilizes strong communication skills and professionalism
Maintain professional and cordial interactions with community partners, staff, and others at all times

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two years of related program experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Experience in working with or providing services to children and their families
Requires knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) and office equipment
Must be comfortable speaking on the phone and in person with others
Demonstrated ability to work well with people of various ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and life experiences
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, manage multiple priorities, and have exceptional time management and organizational skills
Willing to engage in building reflective capacity (e.g., capacity for introspection, communication, awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.)
Must reside in Wyandotte County or be willing to relocate within 12 months of the date of hire.
A valid Kansas driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish/English or Burmese/English.
Experience in working with culturally diverse communities/families and the ability to be culturally
appropriate.
Experience in home visiting or other social services.
Organized systems thinker with strong project management skills. Content creation, social media, earned media, or public relations experience.
This is a grant-funded position.
Salary Range:
$26.74-$28.95/hr.
