Cleans all floors in the facility, including corridors, walkways, and offices, through sweeping, mopping, or picking up debris. 2. Operates floor buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and other cleaning equipment. 3. Organizes cleaning areas, storage rooms, and supply rooms. 4. Performs minor semi-skilled interior building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and other unskilled and semi-skilled trades work. 5. Empty the trash, change the lights, and replenish soap and paper dispensers. 6. Treat wood with proper cleaning materials, including hardwood floors. 7. Perform set-up and take-down of rooms for classes, gymnasium, special events, and activities. 8. Performs indoor swimming pool maintenance as required. 9. Inspect and maintain assigned custodial equipment and small tools for proper operating condition. 10. Maintains current skills and knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building maintenance. 11. Keeps a record of work completed. 12. Locks and unlocks facilities as needed. 13. Maintains exterior perimeter of the facility and parking lot by keeping walk clean and free from snow, debris, de-weeding flower beds, picking up trash, and other general maintenance tasks. 14. Responds to public complaints and requests upon assignment by supervisor and attempts to resolve in a timely manner. 15. Ensures the enforcement of park and recreation rules and regulations. 16. Receives, collects and compiles patron feedback and comments regarding programs, facilities, and events; responds to and reports patron feedback and comments according to established procedures. Peripheral Duties: 1. Attends staff meetings and other meetings as required. 2. Serves as a staff member for special events as assigned. 3. Performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent required; and, 2. Basic first aid, AED and CPR certification required within three (3) months of date of hire. 3.
