Clay County is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to provide critical support to our executive leadership team. Key Responsibilities
- Executive Support: Draft and edit high-level correspondence, memoranda, and reports; prepare original communications for vendors, citizens, and governmental agencies.
- Commission Assistance: Assist with the preparation of Request for Commission Actions (RCA) forms and provide administrative support for County Commission meetings.
- Operational Management: Maintain the department’s Standard Operating Procedure Manual and manage County asset logs for insurance and disposal purposes.
- Financial Administration: Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and requisitions; utilize knowledge of accounting principles to maintain accurate spreadsheets and charts.
- Reception & Communication: Serve as the professional "face" of the department by greeting guests, routing telecommunications, and handling inquiries with empathy and professionalism.
- Data Integrity: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive matters, including payroll, HIPAA regulations, and employee discipline.

Qualifications

- Experience: 1 to 3 years of increasingly responsible related administrative experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed for office operations.
