Performs duties associated with population-based public health. Primary areas of responsibility include working, coordinating, and promoting immunization clinics, performing immunization audits, communicable disease prevention, and teaching health related classes to all age groups.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) and three years of progressively responsible experience in public health preferred. Requires Missouri R.N. License, CPR/AED Certification, and a valid driver’s license. Must complete required NIMS level training within first six months of hire. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills. Computer proficiency essential. Requires ability to speak effectively and respond to questions using tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Also required to perform operations of a clinic, including standing and sitting, using hands to prepare and administer vaccines, and transporting supplies.
Typical Working Conditions: Normal office or clinical environment. May occasionally be exposed to infections or contagious diseases, toxic or caustic chemicals and outdoor weather conditions. May perform work in a variety of settings, including all age groups. Working conditions are typically quiet.
Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday
