Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 2 pm (25 hours per week)The GIS Operations Support Assistant is a part-time position that provides essential support for GIS functions, daily operations, and administrative tasks. This role is responsible for processing incoming deeds, updating and reporting ownership changes to other county offices, and assisting the public, county staff, and external agencies with GIS-related inquiries. The position performs duties under general supervision and contributes to maintaining accurate, timely, and reliable GIS data and records.
- Provide administrative and technical support for GIS operations.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Process deeds filed for ownership changes; update ownership records and ensure accurate submission to the Appraiser’s Office.
- Process maintenance forms related to ownership changes for the Appraiser, Clerk, and Treasurer’s offices.
- Conduct ownership research for consumers, title companies, and county staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments and external agencies to share data and ensure alignment of records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Position Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of related experience in data processing, title transfer, or a comparable combination of education and experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Knowledge:- Computer software programs and applications such as MS Office.
- County and/or city government administration.
- Data processing principles, methods, and procedures.
Skills:- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact in a positive and professional manner to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, management, and general public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate goals, interests, and positions during discussions.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and to perform moderately difficult technical and mathematical computations.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to operate computer programs/software/platforms, to include MS Office and those used by the county to perform job duties.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
