MARC is seeking a public service-oriented human resources professional who wants to be part of building a culture that supports, engages and empowers staff. About this position
This is a responsible position that works hand in hand with the Human Resources Manager but also independently leads and manages tasks and projects. The position works with program staff across the organization on recruitment, training and events, and also plays a lead role in managing the HRIS platform.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate recruitment, working with hiring managers to identify key skills and attract diverse, qualified candidates.
- Manage the new employee onboarding experience, ensuring a welcoming and informative start for all new hires.
- Support benefits administration, including health and retirement plans.
- Provide employee support, assist in enrollment and respond to questions.
- Lead wellness initiatives.
- Review and enter payroll changes.
- Operate as a lead user of the ADP HRIS platform.
- Manage HR records.
- Coordinate agency training, including regular sessions on harassment, ethics, and cybersecurity.
- Manage the learning management system and develop new training programs to advance staff development.
- Support employee relations, foster an engaged and respectful workplace culture, and participate in internal committees and event planning.
- Ensure legal compliance by preparing EEO and Affirmative Action reports, verifying I-9 documentation.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business, or public administration.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible HR experience, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, benefits, and employment law.
- Proficiency with Office 365 and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
- Ability to manage and implement technology-driven training and onboarding solutions.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, leveraging technology to improve HR processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong project management abilities and the capacity to lead and facilitate groups, events and programs.
