EOE Employment at LSPR guarantees the opportunity to learn communication and organizational skills, professionalism, and civic responsibility while building outstanding personal and work relationships. $15.00/hourly Responsible for handling telephone requests, assisting patrons and performing a wide variety of administrative functions related to the operations of Camp Summit and Harris Park Community Center; processes high volumes of camp registrations, weekly camp fee payments, and other registrations and rental services, with responsibility for maintaining critical cash controls. This position will be working mid-May – August 7, hours will vary. This position will be scheduled 30-40 hours a week working various hours, applicants should be flexible. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Serves as primary point of contact for department patron service. Assists patrons and accepts registrations. Responds to telephone requests and assists patrons with a wide variety of questions. Creates, maintains, and performs data entry into the RecTrac system. Maintains administrative records and files for Camp Summit and Harris Park Community Center. Processes financial transactions and maintains all transaction history. Assists other Parks and Recreation facilities with transactions and patron services, may perform duties and responsibilities of various customer service positions throughout the department as needed. Accepts payments and balances daily receipts deposit. Schedules facility reservations and prepares appropriate notices. Assist with program rescheduling as needed. Assists Manager/Assistant Managers and Camp Counselors in the planning and implementation of weekly activities. Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Basic first aid, CPR and AED certification required prior to start date; candidates will be able to obtain required certifications through LSPR. High School diploma and some college preferred.
