Job Description:
The Program Aide plays a key role in supporting a variety of recreational programs and activities across the Unified Government Parks and Recreation Department. This position provides hands-on assistance with youth and adult recreation programs, sports leagues, community events and facility operations
Key Responsibilities:
·Assist with the planning and delivery of youth and adult recreation programs, including camps and seasonal events.
·Support the setup, coordination, and oversight of indoor and outdoor sports league activities
·Monitor facilities during programs to ensure safety and proper use
·Schedule and coordinate activities and facility usage as needed.
·Maintain accurate records of program participation, outcomes and attendance
·Prepare routine reports and assist with participant registration
·Support community outreach efforts to promote programs and increase engagement
·Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing and responding to inquiries.
·Request and track supplies needed for various programs and events.
Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience; or,
·ability to work with diverse age groups in a recreational setting
·Ability to work both indoors and outdoors
·Basic computer and administrative skills
