EOE Employment at LSPR guarantees the opportunity to learn communication and organizational skills, professionalism, and civic responsibility while building outstanding personal and work relationships. $15.00 per hour The Nerf Event Staff is responsible for assisting in Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation’s Nerf program, in conjunction with the Recreation Supervisor I. Responsibilities include event set-up and tear-down, event facilitation, scorekeeping, event hype and engagement, and safety monitoring. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Under the general guidance of Recreation Supervisor I, responsible for facilitating regularly occurring Nerf competitions and camps. 2. Serves as point of contact for patron services for the tournament. Assists patrons with inquiries and other related needs. 3. Performs monitoring and oversight for tournaments, inclusive of set up and tear down. Oversight includes promoting positive energy and engagement among patrons. 4. Responsible for maintaining and checking in/out equipment to patrons and ensuring equipment is in safe and usable condition; responsible for reporting equipment maintenance, repair and replacement needs to recreation supervisor for processing. 5. Responsible for maintaining records and files related to facility operations and preparing reports as needed, including, but not limited to: tournament brackets and incident/accident reports. 6. Assists patrons with minor first aid as needed; responsible for contacting emergency services in the event of escalated emergency need. 7. Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures. 8. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR. 9. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Must be at least 16 years of age; and, 2. Minimum of one year experience in customer service preferred; and, 3. Basic First Aid and CPR/AED preferred; and, 4.
