Job Scope No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Operates trucks, tractors and a variety of manual power tools in the maintenance construction and repair of park grounds and facilities Perform various maintenance and construction tasks as directed on park grounds and facilities. Perform landscaping, tree and plant care, sports field maintenance and facility maintenance tasks. Responsible for assisting in opening and closing of areas as directed. Maintains safety by following LSPR guidelines, policies and procedures. Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings as assigned/required. Ensures enforcement of rules and regulations of LSPR. Principal Working Relationships: Receives overall guidance and direction from the Park Maintenance Supervisor, the Park Operations Manager, the Assistant Superintendent of Park Construction, Superintendent of Park Operations and/or the Superintendent of Park Planning and Construction. Receives informal direction and task management from Lead Park Maintenance Worker. Interacts with departmental personnel to provide quality services and to satisfy operational needs. Interacts with patrons, vendors, consultants, and other employees to foster open communication and positive attitude.
