Aviation Department
Location: 154 Tokyo St. Salary Range: $26.10-$39.82 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. (Mandatory overtime may be required during inclement weather and emergencies)

• Performs work in all phases of electrical maintenance, installation, trouble shooting, and repair of high voltage circuitry.
• Repairs and rebuilds a variety of components and lighting fixtures associated with airfield lighting and street lighting.
• Operates heavy equipment that is used in the repair of direct buried circuitry, emergency snow removal and maintains such equipment.
• Must be able to stand/kneel/walk for extended periods of time, lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and work outside in all types of weather.
• Operates heavy snow removal equipment on the air operations area during emergency snow removal events.
• Must be able to communicate in English and operate a two-way radio for such communication.
• Performs Other Duties as Assigned.
REQUIRES:
• High school graduation and
• 3 years of progressively responsible experience performing routine and moderately complex electrical maintenance and repair work;
• OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies.
• Must be able to obtain a valid MO Class A, B, or C CDL prior to the end of the probationary period as determined by the department.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English via 2-way radio.
• Must pass 10-year TSA Background Check.
• Must successfully obtain and maintain an MCI Issued AOA Movement Area Badge with driving privileges.
