AIRPORT BUS OPERATOR (BUS OPERATOR)

Several full-time positions available with the Aviation Department, Bus Operations Division, located at 400 Panama City Ave. Normal Work Days/Hours: Rotating Shifts, assigned based on seniority.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Transports passengers between the terminals and parking facilities at the airport observing all operating and safety procedures.
• Responds to customer inquiries in a concise and courteous fashion.
• Assists passengers who need assistance in entering and exiting the vehicles.
• Fuels assigned vehicle as needed and maintains fuel records.
• Cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles in preparation for passenger service.
• Assists elderly or handicapped passengers to board or debark from assigned vehicle.
• May be required to enter restricted areas to provide transportation between planes and terminals
• Performs safety checks around the bus.
Important Information:
• Must Pass 10-Year TSA Background Check.

REQUIRES high school graduation and 6 months experience driving multi-passenger motorized vehicles with a capacity of 15 passengers or more; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must posses a valid Class B CDL. Will be required to obtain passenger endorsement and airbrake qualification within first 30 days of employment. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Preference given to those that have a passenger endorsement and airbrake experience
Salary Range: $18.37-$28.01/hour
