PERCENTAGE OF TIME ACCOUNTABILITIES
15% Planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical services.
50% Participates in clinics.
15% Consults with staff regarding client care.
10% Administrative duties to include scheduling and staffing clinics.
5% Negotiates client concerns.
5% Public Health Preparedness.
SCOPE
Serves as Leavenworth County Health Department Clinical Manager under the general supervision of the Administrative Director. Performs administrative and supervision tasks related to clinical activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Health Department Administrative Director.

HUMAN RELATIONS
· Works with local and state agencies in providing services to enhance the quality of life for residents of Leavenworth County.
· Works closely with other staff members to ensure comprehensive health care.
· Develops staff strengths and plans for staff growth.
ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS
· Supervises and evaluates staff.
· Coordinates and participates in clinics.
· Provides nursing services to walk-in clients.
· Assigns and schedules nursing staff.
· Facilitates staff development.
· Provides guidance for staff, functions as resources for staff.
· Assumes leadership of Leavenworth County Health Department in the absence of the department administrator.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
· Work is performed in an office and clinic setting. Some travel (i.e., site locations, meetings/trainings).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
(ASN with additional experience may be substituted)
· Four (4) years of nursing experience
· Possession of a Kansas State Registered Nurse license
· Valid Kansas Driver’s License.
· Supervisory experience of at least three years.
ADA/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· Vision Adequate for preparing and reviewing computer clients' charts and other paperwork.
· Hearing Adequate for conversation and telephone use. Considerable public contact.
· Speech Must be able to speak and understand the English language clearly enough to give instructions to employees and converse with public.
· Standing 15% of the time-interaction with employees/clients.
· Walking 70% of the time-interaction with employees/clients.
· Sitting 15% of the time, computer use, plan review, and meetings.
