Aviation Department - Finance & Accounting Division
Work Location: 601 Brasilia Ave
Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

What You’ll Do:
• Collects and analyzes project costs, asset expenditures, and budget performance for department capital projects and fixed assets
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual capital project and fixed asset reports
• Prepares and ensures project documentation and reporting standards comply with accounting standards, City Policy and organizational standards
• Maintains and analyzes asset inventories, and lifecycle data
• Gathers, validates, and interprets data from multiple reporting systems and sources
• Supports audits, compliance reviews, and operational assessments
• Develops and maintains reporting tools and performance metrics
• Works closely with project managers, finance teams, and vendors
• Develops, writes, and edits new and revised policies and procedures
• Assists with system implementations or upgrades related to asset and project accounting
• Identify opportunities to improve project and fixed asset accounting processes
• Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRES:
• An accredited Master’s degree in public or business administration, urban or regional planning, economics, organizational psychology/development, project management, or geography
• OR an accredited Bachelor's degree and 1 year of professional experience in public or business administration, corporate/municipal finance, research, accounting, planning, project/program management or geographical information system analytics.
• Must pass 10-year TSA (FAA) Background Check
