BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position oversees the direction and activities of the unit, which exist to reduce the psychological trauma a survivor or witness of crime may suffer by lending emotional and criminal justice support immediately at the scene, shortly thereafter and on-going. Supervise victim advocates, support personnel, Chaplains and other volunteers who assist with victims of crimes. Manage and write federal and state grants; participate in training on crime victimization issues to officers, residents, and advocates. Compile, analyze and report stats for the unit. Work a 24/7 on-call rotation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field and minimum five years of increasingly responsible work related experience; prior supervisory experience and/or crime victim service experience; knowledge of the criminal justice system; strong oral and written communication skills; and grant writing experience/training preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook. A valid Kansas driver’s license is also required.
$30.51 - 41.64 per hour
